Privacy Policy for YooReel

YooReel respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use YooReel, our mobile application, AI creation tools, and related services collectively referred to as the "Service."

YooReel is a creative tool. It does not provide a public community, public profile, public comment system, public feed, or third-party social networking feature within the Service.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide, operate, improve, secure, and support the Service, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.

1.1 Account and Contact Information

When you create an account, sign in, subscribe, contact support, or send feedback, we may collect:

• Email address;
• Nickname, profile image, or account avatar, if you choose to provide them;
• Sign-in information provided by supported login services, such as Sign in with Apple;
• Customer support messages and related communication records.

Some features may be unavailable if you choose not to create an account.

1.2 User Content

When you use features such as AI image generation, video generation, photo editing, avatar creation, filters, style transfer, or other creative tools, you may provide:

• Photos, videos, audio, text prompts, descriptions, or editing instructions;
• Images, videos, or other content generated through the Service;
• Related technical metadata, such as file type, file size, creation time, processing parameters, and generation status.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and process any content you submit to the Service.

1.3 Images, Face Data, and AI-Generated Content

To provide AI-powered photo editing and image or video generation features, YooReel processes images, videos, text prompts, editing instructions, and generated content that you voluntarily upload, submit, or request through the Service.

If an uploaded image or video includes a face, YooReel may process face-related data only as needed to provide the requested feature. Face-related data may include:

• Uploaded images or video frames that contain a face;
• Facial areas, facial landmarks, face contours, and facial feature positioning, such as the approximate location of eyes, nose, mouth, and face outline;
• Face-related processing metadata derived from the uploaded image or video, such as editing parameters, generation status, and feature settings used to create the requested result;
• AI-generated images, videos, or other outputs created at your request that may contain a face or likeness.

Face data may be considered biometric data under certain laws. YooReel does not use face data to identify, verify, or authenticate a person's real-world identity.

1.4 How We Use Face Data

YooReel uses face data solely to provide the AI features you request and to operate the Service. Planned uses of face data are limited to:

• Detecting and positioning facial features so the requested photo editing, enhancement, avatar, image generation, or video generation feature can work correctly;
• Generating, rendering, enhancing, transforming, or returning the image or video content you requested;
• Performing safety checks, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, error handling, and service reliability functions related to your request;
• Providing customer support if you contact us about a specific generation or editing result.

We do not:

• Use face data to identify your real-world identity;
• Use face data to authenticate you or any other person;
• Use face data to train or improve AI models;
• Sell face data to third parties;
• Use face data for purposes unrelated to providing, securing, or troubleshooting the requested feature.

Face data may be uploaded to YooReel-operated servers or sent to third-party AI service providers when server-side processing is required to complete the feature you request. Face data is stored on YooReel-operated servers only for the limited retention periods described in Section 4, "Data Retention and Deletion." When face data is sent to a third-party AI service provider, it is processed according to Section 3.3, "Third-Party AI Services and Data Processing."

1.5 Prohibited Use of Face Data

You may not upload, generate, edit, or otherwise process content using another person's face, likeness, portrait, image, or other identifying features unless you have lawful authorization and all required rights and consents. Any misuse of another person's identity, likeness, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other rights is strictly prohibited and is solely your responsibility.

1.6 Device, Log, and Usage Information

To operate, secure, improve, and troubleshoot the Service, we may automatically collect:

• Device model, operating system version, app version, language, region, and network status;
• Device identifiers, installation identifiers, app instance identifiers, and Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) only where you have granted tracking permission and applicable platform rules allow it;
• Crash logs, performance data, diagnostics, and error reports;
• Feature usage data, generation task status, and operational logs;
• IP address, request time, access logs, and security logs.

1.7 Subscription and Payment Information

If you purchase a subscription, membership, credits, or in-app product, payment is processed by the Apple App Store or the applicable payment provider. We do not collect your full credit card number or payment credentials.

We may receive limited transaction-related information, such as:

• Product purchased;
• Subscription status;
• Order or transaction reference;
• Expiration date;
• Renewal, cancellation, refund, or billing status.

We use this information to provide paid features, restore purchases, manage subscriptions, respond to billing inquiries, and prevent fraud.

1.8 Advertising and Attribution Information

The Service may use advertising, analytics, or install attribution tools to understand install sources, measure campaign performance, prevent advertising fraud, and support promotional activities. Depending on your consent choices, device settings, and applicable platform rules, the information processed for these purposes may include app events, device information, approximate location, ad impressions, clicks, campaign information, installation identifiers, and IDFA.

On iOS, we will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before tracking you across apps and websites owned by other companies, accessing IDFA, or using data for targeted advertising where such permission is required. If you deny tracking permission, we will not access IDFA.

We do not use device signals, device configuration, installation identifiers, app instance identifiers, IP address, or other information to fingerprint users or to track users across apps and websites if they have not granted tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

You can manage tracking permissions at any time in your iOS device settings.

1.9 Device Permissions

The Service may request access to certain device permissions, including:

• Photos: to select, upload, edit, save, or export photos and videos;
• Camera: to capture photos or videos when you choose to use camera-based features;
• Microphone: to record audio or video when you choose to use audio or video features;
• Notifications: to send generation updates, subscription notices, and important service messages;
• Tracking: to allow IDFA-based advertising, attribution, or measurement only if you grant permission where required;
• Network access: to connect to servers, upload processing requests, and download generated results.

You may grant or deny permissions at any time through your device settings. Certain features may not work properly without the required permission.

2. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
• Process photos, videos, text prompts, audio, and other user content;
• Generate, edit, render, save, sync, export, or display content;
• Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts;
• Provide paid features, subscriptions, credits, and purchase restoration;
• Respond to customer support requests;
• Send service-related messages, safety alerts, generation status updates, and important notices;
• Analyze crashes, performance issues, usage trends, and service reliability;
• Measure advertising, promotional campaigns, install attribution, and campaign performance where permitted by your device settings, consent choices, and applicable law;
• Prevent fraud, abuse, spam, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
• Enforce our terms, policies, and legal rights;
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or government requests;
• Carry out any other purpose disclosed to you with your consent.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

3.1 App Store, Payment, and Service Operation

Except for the third-party AI processing and advertising, analytics, or attribution processing described below, we do not share your personal information with third-party AI providers, public community services, or third-party social networking services. We may process necessary information through YooReel-operated systems and through app store or payment platform functions that are necessary to distribute the app, verify purchases, manage subscriptions, restore purchases, and prevent fraud.

• Apple App Store or another app store platform for purchase processing, purchase restoration, subscription management, and refunds;
• YooReel-operated servers for generation, rendering, storage, downloading, safety checks, diagnostics, security logs, and customer support;
• Device-level operating system services for permissions and notifications when you enable them.

App store and device-level platform services process information according to their own applicable terms and privacy policies. YooReel-operated systems process information only as described in this Privacy Policy.

3.2 Advertising, Analytics, and Attribution Partners

If advertising, analytics, or install attribution partners are integrated into the app version you use, we may share or make available limited device, usage, advertising, and attribution information to measure campaign performance, understand install sources, prevent fraud, and support advertising or promotional activities.

This information may include app events, device information, approximate location, ad impressions, clicks, campaign information, installation identifiers, app instance identifiers, and IDFA where you have granted tracking permission and applicable platform rules allow it.

We do not provide face data, uploaded photos, uploaded videos, text prompts, or AI-generated content to advertising, analytics, or attribution partners for advertising targeting.

We do not use advertising, analytics, or attribution partners to fingerprint users or to track users across apps and websites if they have not granted tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

3.3 Third-Party AI Services and Data Processing

To provide AI-powered features in the Service, such as generating images, videos, text, or other content based on your inputs, we send certain user-provided data to third-party AI service providers for processing. This may include text prompts, uploaded images, videos, audio, editing instructions, or other inputs you provide for a specific generation or editing request.

If your uploaded image or video includes a face, the data sent for processing may include face data described in Section 1.3, such as uploaded images or video frames containing a face and facial feature positioning needed to generate or edit the requested content. We send only the minimum data necessary for your specific request, and the data is used solely to fulfill that request, such as generating the requested content, completing a rendering task, or returning the result to you.

We currently use the following third-party AI service:

• PixVerse: used for video and image generation. Your inputs, such as text prompts, uploaded images, uploaded videos, or face-containing inputs, may be sent to PixVerse to process and generate content. We do not store your inputs on our servers beyond the retention periods described in Section 4, and we do not use your data to train or improve any AI models, including third-party AI models, unless you explicitly opt in to such use. Opting in to model training or improvement is not required for core app functionality.

3.4 Sharing Initiated by You Outside YooReel

YooReel does not provide a public social feed, public comments, or public community sharing inside the Service. If you choose to export generated content or user content and share it through social media, messaging apps, cloud drives, or other third-party platforms outside YooReel, the information you share will be handled by those external services according to their own privacy policies.

3.5 Legal, Safety, and Compliance

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or government request;
• Protect the rights, property, and safety of us, our users, or the public;
• Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or potential violations;
• Enforce our terms, policies, or legal rights.

3.6 Business Transfers

If the Service is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the receiving party to protect the information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy or provide equivalent protection.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

In general:

• Account information is retained until you delete your account or we no longer need it to provide the Service;
• User-uploaded content and generated results are retained only for the periods described below unless you delete them earlier, delete your account, provide explicit consent for a longer period, or a longer period is required by law;
• Temporary server processing files are retained only as long as necessary to complete generation, rendering, downloading, safety review, troubleshooting, or related service functions;
• For enhancement or editing features, face data used only to detect, position, enhance, or edit facial features is deleted immediately after processing is completed, and uploaded or enhanced images are deleted within 7 days unless a longer period is required by law or you provide explicit consent;
• For AI image or video generation features, uploaded images or videos may be retained for up to 30 days for non-subscribers and up to 90 days for subscribers to provide generation history, download access, troubleshooting, and support. Face data used for AI generation is retained for the same duration as the related uploaded image or video;
• AI-generated images, videos, or other outputs are retained for up to 30 days unless you delete them earlier, delete your account, a longer period is required by law, or you provide explicit consent;
• Transaction and subscription records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal compliance;
• Logs and security records are retained for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, security auditing, and operational purposes, and are later deleted or anonymized;
• Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies an individual may be retained for analytics, research, and service improvement.

You may request deletion of your account or personal information through the in-app settings or by contacting us at [email protected].

If the Service allows account creation, we will provide an in-app method to initiate account deletion. After account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, except where retention is necessary for legal compliance, transaction records, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our rights.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Delete your personal information or account;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities;
• Request a copy of your personal information;
• Opt out of marketing communications, if any;
• Manage device permissions such as Photos, Camera, Microphone, Notifications, and Tracking;
• Opt out of certain data sharing or targeted advertising where required by applicable law.

You may exercise these rights through the app settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. For security reasons, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate parental consent where such consent is required, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as reasonably possible.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls, encryption in transit, permission management, security monitoring, and data minimization.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data security incident occurs and is likely to affect your rights or interests, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries or regions outside your country of residence. When we transfer personal information internationally, we take appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law, such as data processing agreements, recognized transfer mechanisms, or working with service providers that provide an adequate level of protection.

9. Third-Party Websites and External Services

The Service may contain links to external websites, app store pages, or support channels. This Privacy Policy does not apply to external services that we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of any external services before using them.

10. Supplemental Privacy Notice for Certain Regions

If you are located in California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region with specific privacy laws, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to access, delete, correct, restrict, object to processing, request data portability, withdraw consent, and opt out of certain data sharing or targeted advertising.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising, analytics, or attribution activities may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. Where required, we will provide appropriate notice, consent choices, and opt-out rights.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes that affect your rights or how we process your information, we will notify you through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method.

The updated Privacy Policy will become effective on the date indicated at the top of this page.
